It is hard to escape the grips of technology in an era that
is being dominated by it. Almost everyone and their mothers are part of one of
the major social media giants or own some sort of tech from one of the tech
companies. The point is, companies like Google, Apple, Facebook, and many other
tech giants have dictated our modern lives.
However, being a big tech company also have a con of being
in the crosshairs of media. A single controversy can be made into a huge deal
that can have a negative impact on the public view of the company. Recently,
there have been numerous controversies from one or the other. Media always
takes a swing at the companies that cause controversies, causing them to last
for a while. Just search for any major tech company followed by the keyword
“controversy,” and you will find an abundance of articles from big and small
websites that have given the coverage.
Media sentiment is vital for a company to stay in a positive
light. For this reason, quarter-million articles were collected to learn the
media coverage patterns and how they have discussed the major tech companies
like Facebook, Amazon, Twitter, Instagram, Apple, Tesla, etc. and merged it
