Spotify, the digital music company with a database of millions of songs and podcasts, has now come up with a feature that makes it even better and more exciting! Spotify's new feature has been made especially for couples, or just for any duo. Couples who love music more than anything and would like to merge their favourite songs, will absolutely love Spotify's new 'Premium Duo' plan.

The new plan will offer a playlist feature for two people which will be updated constantly with the music tastes of both the concerned persons, which is known as the 'Duo Mix'. The idea is inspired by the scenario in which two people play a single music playlist at their home, and both of them get to listen to their favourite songs from that one playlist. Prior to launching the Premium Duo feature, Spotify conducted a study on its users regarding listening to music together. According to the results, around 73% of couples said listening to music together is a way of bringing back happy memories. 63% of couples also expressed listening to music together as a way to strengthen their bond and build even more blissful memories.
While the single account subscription is priced at $9.99 per month, this latest offer by Spotify is debuting at a subscription rate of $12.99 per month. If you're already a single Premium Spotify member, you can update to this plan, as it will not affect your previous settings and listening history. Should you choose the duo plan, both you and your significant other will get their own individual accounts. So this means that with the premium duo account, your own personal listening history won't get clouded by songs played by your loved one, as you won't have to share your account.
What's more? If you want an account for more people, the family membership is just $2 more and includes up to six individual accounts. Conditions for the Premium Duo service include that both the persons are residing at the same place. Moreover, users who don't already have a premium subscription can get their first month of Premium Duo for free.
