Apple has just
revealed its first preview of how its new emojis will look like. The preview
shows Ninja, Piñata, Dodo bird, Bubble Tea and a few other interesting emojis. The
emoji list of 2020 was announced earlier this year and approved by Unicode. Each
platform vendor was expected to come up with its own unique designs for these
emojis. Apple, therefore, has shown its 2020 emojis for iOS, iPadOS, and macOS.
Following is the list of the 13 new emojis that the company has previewed:
· The
“Italian Hand Gesture” that looks like pinched fingers
· Nesting
dolls with beautiful and intricate details
· Pinata
and Tamale with significant detail
· Ninja
· Boomerang
· Coin
exhibiting an eagle
· Beaver
· Transgender
Symbol that shows a combination of the male and female symbols
· Bubble
Tea
Other approved
Apple emojis will also be coming to iOS this year, however they haven’t been previewed
by the company.
Moreover, Apple
has also added various new options for Memojis, including colored face masks
and headwear. Memojis are used as stickers in iOS messaging apps.
The new emojis are
expected to be released in the second half of the year, following the debut of
iOS 14, which has commonly been the case with Apple in its previous emoji
releases. So, keep an eye out for the 2020 apple emojis to appear in September
or October.
