The novel coronavirus has taken over the world by storm, leaving hardly any spot unaffected. No matter which country you belong to, your life has been altered in numerous ways. All your traveling plans have been canceled, your job is at stake as many businesses choose to downsize their employees. Overall, this time around, the environment of every society is unhealthy too. Many people are giving in to mental health issues, mostly depression out of loneliness and succumbing to the anxiety of the uncertain future.
In total, how many spheres of life have been highly effected by COVID-19? According to experts, the various risks posed by this pandemic have been sorted in 6 categories. Out of these, economic risks remain at the top. It also makes sense, since not all jobs and occupations have the tendency to 'work from home'. On the top of these occupations, we can consider tourism and travel, for example. Since there are travel restrictions worldwide, and travel-related careers and nature of the business is not the kind that can flourish from home.
Technology has helped us a lot in fighting against the coronavirus, both financially as well as mentally. Think about it- people are able to make video calls to each other, and so many employees are getting the opportunity to work from home. But let's think again. What about those who are either not adapted to technology, or those who are unable to get jobs during crisis, just because they don't have access to technological resources as much as majority of the people in urban areas have.
