Long term patients in hospitals are now finding that they can no longer attend their regular sessions with doctors as they are extremely vulnerable to COVID-19 and COVID-19 has closed down all non-essential medical services. In order to still get the attention and care that these patients need, many have switched to virtual and online doctor’s visits. In March 2020, the Cleveland Clinic logged 18 times their normal telemedicine visits - over 60,000 total visits. Other virtual health companies are also seeing huge increases in usage since February and March. Zipnosis, one such company, reported an incredible 3,600% increase in virtual visits over the course of just 11 days in February. CareClix, another virtual health company, saw a 50% increase in usage in its over 20 million user base in March alone.
