Did you know that owning a Japanese passport opens more
doors around the world than any others?
Countries including Afghanistan, Syria, Iraq, Pakistan, and
North Korea was named as the countries with the worst passports to hold and
offered visa-free access to less than 40 countries.

According to the Henley Passport Index,
that periodically measures the world’s most travel-friendly passports – Japan leads
once again as the country with the world’s most powerful passport. This simply means
that Japanese passport holders have visa-free access or visa-on-arrival access
to 191 countries across the globe.
The second place on the leaderboard was awarded to Singapore
that gives citizens visa-free access to 190 countries. South Korea followed
with travel freedom to 189 countries while passport-holders of Italy, Finland, France,
Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Spain, and Luxembourg landed in the top five by
granting access to at least 188 countries without a prearranged visa.
The USA and the UK continued to slide downwards from the
first position they held jointly in 2015 to the 8th rank in 2020. Both countries give their citizens travel freedom to almost 184 countries along
with Belgium, Switzerland, and Norway.
