The coronavirus pandemic has forced a large number of layoffs, salary cut-offs and business closure. However, as the world gradually starts regaining normalcy – many people wonder what employment opportunities would look like after COVID-19.

And would it ever return to the pre-coronavirus levels?

In this regard, the Employment Outlook Survey asked participants based in the UK about their thoughts. As the Infographic below shows, a majority of respondents predict that hiring will resume within the next year.

On the other hand, 22% of the survey participants think that employment sector would be back to normal within 3 months, while 14% are not very optimistic – and say that we may never see the pre-COVID-19 era again!

As of now, hiring and employment opportunities remain at its low in all major sectors. In fact, it is overall at the lowest point for three decades.
