The coronavirus pandemic has forced a large number of layoffs,
salary cut-offs and business closure. However, as the world gradually starts
regaining normalcy – many people wonder what employment opportunities would
look like after COVID-19.
And would it ever return to the pre-coronavirus levels?
In this regard, the Employment Outlook Survey asked participants based in the UK about their thoughts. As the
Infographic below shows, a majority of respondents predict that hiring will
resume within the next year.
On the other hand, 22% of the survey participants think that
employment sector would be back to normal within 3 months, while 14% are not
very optimistic – and say that we may never see the pre-COVID-19 era again!
As of now, hiring and employment opportunities remain at its
low in all major sectors. In fact, it is overall at the lowest point for three
decades.
