The Coronavirus pandemic affected different countries in completely different ways. Some countries were more adversely affected than others, both in terms of health security and economy.
The governments of different countries dealt with the situations in their respective countries, and not every government has earned a favourable response to their strategies against curbing the virus. Many countries faced criticism for not taking charge.
YouGov released data from a survey that shows the rating that some of the governments around the world have received for their handling of the situation.
At the lower end of the spectrum is the UK, with a negative rating of –15, along with Mexico. The ratings were calculated by subtracting negative responses from positive responses.
On the other hand, Vietnam has a +95 response, due to its strict policies and serious tackling of the issue.
Countries included in the survey were: Australia, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Norway, Philippines, Poland, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, UK, USA, Vietnam.
