Instagram and Facebook both have been introducing new options and features to make their platforms more engaging. Last month Instagram introduced 'Stay at Home' stickers to encourage social distancing and also added gift cards, ordering, and fundraising stickers to help businesses affected by the COVID-19 lockdowns. It also changed IGTV preview options for stories to 15 seconds for every IGTV video and also added the 'Stay Home' AR effect. Meanwhile, Facebook introduced a new 'Care' reaction for people to better express their support for others on the app during the coronavirus pandemic. It also added a new 'Animate' feature for photos in a Stories frame.
Currently, Instagram is testing a 'DM Me' stickers and business promotion stickers, while Facebook might introduce a 'Mood' gif option too. Mentioned in this article are just a few of the many new features and options Insta and Facebook are working on and users will be introduced to them in the near future.
The new font options are worth checking out and will allow you to create more interesting and engaging story content. And although they might seem like a very minor addition amongst the sea of features rolling in, they will come in handy.
For now, the new fonts are only available only to a small number of users according to Instagram so not everyone would be able to access them currently.
