According to the statistics available from Worldometers, the death
toll in France, Italy, and Spain from COVID-19 is slightly easing off. In fact,
the 7-day rolling averages show a significant decline in death tolls of all three
countries.
On May 3, Italy reported only 174 deaths. The numbers were the
country’s lowest since mid-March. Similarly, Spain also recorded only 164 deaths
while the fatality counter for France stopped at 135.
Currently, Germany is showing the lowest death rates in all
of Europe, while the UK is recording the highest. However, a significant
downward trend in reported deaths is visible for the UK as well.
The U.S. is seeing the worst hit from the coronavirus. Here,
the death count exceeds 1,000 daily, while April 21st saw the highest
figure at 2,600 deaths.
