A television show’s final episode can play a major role in how the series is remembered in the future. A great finale can promote a show into legendary status, while a less-than-stellar final episode can tarnish a show’s reputation forever. It is a truly difficult task to produce consistently good storytelling throughout the course of a series, but some shows excel more than others.
This infographic from TitleMax analyzed data from IMDb to determine which of the 100 most popular TV shows had the best and worst final episodes. Some shows, like Breaking Bad, had high ratings throughout the entire series and had a well-loved finale, while other shows like Game of Thrones started out strong but did not give fans the satisfying conclusion that they were hoping for.
