Instagram has added new 'Thank You' stickers for stories as part of its 'Thank You Hour' initiative, the stickers can be used in stories to showcase different things users are grateful for during the coronavirus pandemic.
"Today we’re launching Thank You Hour, a sticker in stories that lets you show gratitude for what's helping you through this time. Use the sticker and your photo or video will be added to a shared Instagram story at 7 p.m. your time where friends can see your thanks," said Instagram.
Your snaps with the Thank You sticker will be shown to all the people you are connected with on the app in a collective Thank You story feature every day at 7 pm local time.
Instagram has released many cause-related stickers in the past that are designed to give users a way to show their support for different subjects through their stories.
Instagram previously launched two other stickers amid COVID-19 that included a 'Stay Home' and 'Thanks Health Heros' stickers to encourage social distancing and pay tribute to healthcare workers respectively. Through these stickers, Instagram users can come together for a cause and communicate important messages while taking part in efforts to curb the coronavirus.
It is important that people take extra precautions and follow the advice of healthcare workers to keep themselves and their families safe. Self quarantining and social distancing are important for people of all ages to curb the spread of the virus.
