There are literally dozens of figures floating around about Covid-19's R0, from study groups all over the world. And different research groups use various statistical models, hypotheses and data to tap into their models. According to a spokesperson for the World Health Organization, Tarik Jašarević, the estimates of R0 spread as of February 17 are consistently above 1 (meaning the virus is sustaining itself among humans), and most settle about 2 to 2.5 (meaning each infected person causes two to 2,5 others to become infected).
