Freight forwarding scam cases have been on the rise for the past few years, mostly due to the new internet where anyone can easily identify themselves as a "legitimate" freight forwarding service. "Many of these fraudsters would use a website to make their business look respectable, and even use social media to their advantage to hook up inexperienced importers and exporters using the network to grab.
Many importers and exporters know enough about what makes a respectable freight forwarding business. Despite the presence of forums for knowledge sharing that address these values, however, far too many import and export companies still fall victim to dishonest freight forwarders.
