What makes these castles even more majestic is the scenery in which they stand, the hills and cliffs right out of an old Gothic novel. These castles and ruins are one of Scotland’s top main attractions, and millions of visitors come to visit these sites every year.

One of the oldest castles in the country – Edinburgh Castle – dates back to the 11th century, yet still stands imposingly on the hill it was built on a thousand years ago. Some of the other castles also date back to the 13th century.
These castles are a view into the past of the region, and helps us understand what life was like a millennia ago for the Scottish people. The castles that are on sale are usually quite expensive, retailing at millions of dollars, but the cheapest one on their list is only 300,000 GBP. Imagine that.
