Do you know that the average miles that drivers in the US drive each year are at an all-time high? Research shows Americans travel 13,474 miles a year— equivalent to more than four New York-to-Dallas roundtrip drives.
While driving has always been the primary mode of transport, Americans today are more dependent than ever on their private vehicles. That said, driving enthusiasm isn't shared equally across genders and age groups.
Information has been published by the U.S. Department of Transportation showing that the average American travels more than 1,000 miles a month and up to 13,474 miles a year. But when it comes to gender, there is a significant difference, with the average male driver reporting 16,550 miles a year and the average female driver 10,142 miles or 63 per cent less.
