During the past year, Donald Trump made digital headlines for spending the most on internet marketing. In
fact, statistics show that he spent almost $23 million on Facebook ads and $12
million for Google ads – totaling to a whopping $35 million. He has also
managed to garner around $165 million in 2020 campaign funding – surpassing the
other Democratic candidates for the same nomination.
However, he now has a competitor - billionaire Michael Bloomberg
who joined the electoral race in November 2019 but has managed to spend a total
of $34.5 million on his digital marketing within the short time frame.
On the third place is the philanthropist billionaire Tom
Steyer who has spent around $23 million in his campaign. Pete Buttigieg spent
around $12 million on digital ads while Sens. Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth
Warren managed to afford $10 million each on their internet marketing.
