Due to well laid out highways and plentiful, affordable parking options, the easiest way to get around in Houston is by car. Houston is a large city, and its size means that not all areas of Houston are served by public transit.
That said, there is a public transport system in Houston that serves most of downtown Houston. Houston's public transport system consists of bus and light rail routes. Houston also has taxis, ride-sharing services such as Uber and Lyft, and BCycle, a bike-sharing network.
