At some point in our lives, we all are struck with different kinds of bugs in our homes. No matter what the type is, bugs can be annoying as they bring about damage and allergies with them. Getting rid of bugs is not an easy task; using bug fix chemicals can cause a health risk, so people are finding natural bug fixes to get rid of them. Using natural bug fixes can keep the bugs and insects away, and you can be safe without the use of harmful pesticides. Here are eight easy ways to get rid of these tiny unwanted creatures from your houses.
One
of the natural bug fixers is peppermint bug spray for ants. The method of
making this spray is to fill the spray bottle halfway with water, add ½ cup of
witch hazel, add ten drops of peppermint essential oil. After adding all the
solutions, shake up the solutions, and spray around ant entry points, ants can
go away with the smell of peppermint and be dissuaded from entering.
2. For
bed bugs, you can use diatomaceous earth. To make this solution for bed bugs,
you have to purchase the bag from any home goods store, sprinkle DE into any
cracks and crevices, which include window sills, drawers, and dashboards. To
use it as an applicator, puff the DE behind electrical outlets. In this way,
the powder will dry up and kill the bed bugs.
3. Cockroaches
are the most challenging insect to kill. Soapy water is the best solution for
cockroaches fill the spray bottle ¾ halfway with water, squeeze several drops
of dish soap, shake the bottle to froth water, and then spray on cockroaches
and around wherever you see them. They are killed by when the soap films their
bodies and suffocates the roaches.
4. You
can get rid of boxelder bugs. Chrysanthemum spray is a natural remedy to kill
them. You need to pick ten full blooms and dry if for two days, crush or grind
the dried blooms into a powder, mix several pinches with water in a spray
bottle, and spray on bugs directly and on infested areas. An insect nerve toxin
is included called pyrethrum by which you can get rid of them quickly.
5. Insects
in the pantry are the most disgusting. Herb sachets are the best way to get rid
of them, we need to purchase dried lavender and bay leaves, place several stems
of each into a small mesh bag, then add a couple of spoons of uncooked rice for
weight. You can tie up the bag with a strand of ribbons and place it in each
cupboard. You can replace it every six months. The moths are dead by the smell
of lavender and bay leaves; it will dissuade the moths from laying eggs.
6. To
get rid of the fruit flies, you can use apple cider vinegar. You can make it by
filling a small bowl with two cups of apple cider vinegar, then fill it with a
small dish of water and three drops of dish soap. Float the plate in the bowl
of vinegar, and place near the fruit fly infestation to lure and kill the
flies. Empty trap every few days and replace the ingredients, the apple cider
vinegar attracts the fruit flies, and they get stuck on the soap.
The eucalyptus bug spray is for dust mites. It would be best if you fill the spray bottle with
¾ full of water, then add three drops of dish soap. Add 30 drops of diluted
eucalyptus essential oil, after adding, and shake the combined mixture. Spray it
on the bed and affected furniture each day.
It works like a miracle. The eucalyptus oil will kill the mites,
eliminating their allergy, causing waste.
8 Black
flies are always irritating, and you can get rid of them by sugar bottle traps.
To make it, you have to cut the top third of a plastic bottle. Then, cut a
small hole in the cap. The bottom part of the container is filled with a
mixture of one cup of water and three tbsp of sugar. The top half is flip so
that the cap is facing downward to create a funnel that is placed in the
bottom half and is secured with tape. It works when the sugar lures the flies
into the trap, and they are unable to escape the narrow opening.
