To make your time on the app more enjoyable, Snapchat is working
on ‘Cameo Mode’ that allows users to add their faces to GIFs.
According to a report, testing is currently underway for
users in France and the new feature is expected to launch on December 18th
for users worldwide. The timing of the launch seems perfect as many users will
be looking for something interesting to do while they are staying indoors or on
their way to visit their families for the holiday. Like other Snapchat trends,
this new feature is expected to quickly become popular among Snapchatters.
Users can make their cameos through the messaging keyboard
of the app. When users tap on their Bitmoji icon, they will be given an option
to take selfies for their cameo videos. After selecting a body type, they can
add their desired image to the set of 150 short GIFs that even include sound!
This is not the first time Snapchat has brought something
new and interesting forward for its users, how can we forget the dancing hotdog
and the rainbow vomit filters? Let’s also not forget the face swap feature that
boosted Snapchat downloads on the Playstore to a double.
Although Facebook and Instagram have brought their own filters
and other interesting features to their apps, Snapchat remains at the top when
it comes to creativity while giving a tough time to its competitors.
