Just like every year, the movie watchers are again
discussing whether to take the popular Bruce Wills flick ‘Die Hard’ as a holiday movie or not?
Released in 1988, the movie has all the ingredients for a
Christmas movie - it takes place during a holiday office party, on Christmas Eve
to be exact, has carols playing in the background, and ends with scenes in the
snow. However, the opposing party claims that Die Hard is an action film, released
during the summers. Additionally, the plot of the movie revolves around an extremist
who recently migrated from a West Germany political terrorist group and is nowhere
associated with Santa Claus.
After witnessing several fierce conversations, YouGov
finally decided to end the debate by asking 4,340 Americans about their views
of the movie.
The result was as predicted – 20% of the respondents said
that Die Hard is a Christmassy film
while the majority said that Christmas and Die Hard are not interconnected.
