Clance, who first described IS as a medical condition in 1978, even the most confident people that suffer from imposter syndrome; 70% of us will suffer from it at some point in our lives.
"Despite excellent academic and professional accomplishments, women who experience the remarkable trend continue to believe they are not really brilliant and have misled anyone who thinks otherwise," Clance wrote in a paper at Georgia State University with Suzanne Imes.
