Since the launch of Android 10 OS, the 'Dark Mode' feature has been in high demand by users. Twitter recently has released the option for Android after successfully launching it for iOS devices.
Welcome to the dark side, Android users. You can now go lights out on Twitter. pic.twitter.com/RpvstZvdnr— Twitter (@Twitter) October 22, 2019
The social media site had been receiving complaints from users that its older dark mode was too light and twitter has finally addressed the issue by releasing a darker screen option.
To enjoy this feature, you need to have the latest version of Twitter, which is currently 8.18.0. After you go to twitter settings, select the 'Dark Mode' option and then toggle the 'Lights Out' option below it.
Many people find this look more attractive, but apart from giving the site a good appearance, it carries some health benefits as well.
Blue light from cellphones and other devices is harmful to the eyes, and while it may improve readability during the day, it can give you negative health effects. Blue light can reduce the production of melatonin in the brain as well, which leads to disturbed sleep cycles. In this aspect, the 'lights out' feature in the new dark mode comprises a pure black color pallet which makes it more beneficial than the previous one.
