There's no secret to social media that individuals enjoy. Every platform provides a distinctive location to communicate with friends, family and, sometimes, strangers, whether it is Facebook, with more than 2 billion active users by October 2018, Instagram with one billion users or LinkedIn with 590 millions of users.
These platforms enable us to communicate with others. But, if we are not careful, they can also present a danger. On these social media channels there are many scammers. Because of internet fraud, people and companies have lost more than $100 billion. In 2017, 45,811 scams were recorded in the United States in the Better Business Bureau and 48,369 scams were reported in 2018.
