International Women's Day has gotten underway with a multitude of events taking place across the world such as South Korean protests in support of the #MeToo movement and a feminist strike in Spain. Mayors in Madrid and Barcelona have voiced their support for women walking out today in order to highlight sexual and domestic violence as well a massive gulf in inequality, particularly the wage gap. Defined as the difference between male and female earnings as a percentage of male earnings, it's still pronounced in most developed countries today.
