Interestingly, France has more time zones than Russia despite the difference in size between both countries. Overseas France consists of all French-administered territories outside continental Europe such as French Guiana, French Polynesia, Guadeloupe and Réunion. People living in these and other French administered regions overseas have French nationality as well as the right to vote in elections for the European Parliament and French presidency.

The United States also has 11 time zones, covering unincorporated territories such as Guam, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
