In 2013 the typical family home had 10 Internet-connect devices. By 2017, it is predicted that this will increase to 17 devices per home and 50 by 2022. Currently, home networks do not posses the necessary bandwidth to support the growing list of devices being introduced into the home. As a result, Wi-Fi and home networks will continue a download trend of poor and inconsistent performance.
