There will always be iconic settings or certain looks from our favourite films and TV shows that we’ll recognise. Everything from Hannibal Lecter’s cannibal mask in Silence of the Lambs to the glittering red shoes in The Wizard of Oz can be iconic, and will make us think of a particular scene or character. However, we wanted to investigate iconic living rooms in particular, as this is often the main setting in films and TV shows.

Not only have we explored these living rooms in our latest infographic, but we’ve also included some fun facts about the shows and films. For example, did you know that in some episodes of Friends there is a wooden beam between the living room and the kitchen, but in the later series this mysteriously disappears?
