There are a lot of linguists out there who believe your primary language affects how you perceive colors. Native Russian speakers, for instance, have separate words for the colors light blue and dark blue, which may mean they can perceive a wider range of blues than a native English speaker. Whether it’s just a matter of vocabulary or whether your brain can actually be wired differently by your primary language is yet to be proven.
