Drug use is an unfortunate phenomenon that affects people in each of America’s 50 states. In the following infographic, Haven House examines patterns of drug use in the US as a whole as well as explore a handful of disturbing regional patterns as well.

Despite having a significantly higher legal drinking age than other Western countries and one of the world's most punitive drug policies, US citizens consume the most legal and illegal drugs per capita in the world. Every year, the number of teenagers undergoing treatment for marijuana abuse exceeds the number of those seeking treatment for all other illegal drugs combines.
