Health and safety rules and regulations are put in place to avoid any hazardous situations that might end in injury or harm. It is therefore completely understandable that there are so many put in place, as it’s for the benefit of the general public. Even though these health and safety rules need to exist to keep people from hard, these rules are sometimes taken too far, with many stories about health and safety seeming almost humorous as the regulations appear too ridiculous.

Our latest infographic gives many examples of these absurd stories, such as some schools banning children from wearing ties as part of their uniform because of the risk of strangling themselves, and that plasters were banned from a first aid box in a workplace due to the risk of allergic reactions to them.
