Street art first gained popularity in the 1980s when many young artists and creatives began using the art form to express their political views and opinions whilst remaining anonymous. Today’s generation of street artists still use the art form to attract attention to a cause and many travel internationally leaving their art behind in the countries they visit.
Parrot Print’s latest infographic looks at some of the best street art locations around the world, from the colourful and quirky streets of Valparaiso in Chile, to the ‘stencil capital of the world’ aka Melbourne and of course, the elusive Banksy’s Bristol. All are home to some amazing pieces of art and we will definitely be adding these cities to our bucket list!
