UEFA Euro 2016 is tantalisingly just around the corner! With it kicking off in under 2 months time, it is of no surprise that Football is Europe’s most popular sport by a mile. It is the most popular sport in 31 countries. However Finland and Belarus might be a bit more pre-occupied with the Snooker championships as snooker tops as their most popular sport.

Roger Federer has also made an impact on Switzerland as Tennis the tops the chart as the most popular sport. Globally Football or Soccer have been declared the most popular sport across 95 countries, followed by Cricket in 18 countries. Surprisingly, bronze medal goes to wrestling which is popular across 10 countries, mainly across the Middle East. The data has been gathered by SBO.net an Online Sports Entertainment site who used Google’s Search data across 180 countries and 103 languages to identify the most popular sports by search volume.
