If you had to pick one material that represents the military, you’d probably think of metal right? Huge steel tanks and fighter jets are the things that immediately come to mind, but did you know that in fact rubber plays an important and innovative role in much of the equipment and machinery used by the military?

This is because rubber exhibits many unique properties such as a high level of protection, flexibility and shock absorption. And in the theatre of war, where the slightest problem could have life threatening consequences, having a reliable material that they can count on is of paramount importance to the military.
