The use of mobile phones (smartphones to be precise) has increased tremendously. People use their smart phones to browse the web, to connect, to share and to perform most of their internet-search related tasks that were previously performed on the PC or the laptop. The launch of the Accelerated Mobile Pages, brainchild of Google Inc. and Twitter, has been timed most appropriately. AMPs are simplified or stripped down HTML versions of article based webpages which make these websites more compatible with the mobile technology and enhance user experience. Faster browsing powered by cached content and mobile friendly websites are what we are looking at basically. So no more waiting for online articles to load!
There is good news for the digital marketers as well. Now online advertisers can place their ads and get themselves noticed (i.e. they do not get blocked by ad blocking apps) without affecting the user experience.
