A survey recently conducted by Get Qualified Australia has revealed that career and professional development is on the rise. According to the study, 38% are looking to seek a promotion or switch jobs in 2016 with the majority coming from sales or clerical occupations.
Employees who earn over $200k are twice as likely to look for a new line of work, and five time more likely to seek a pay rise than those earning $35-50k.
Qualifications are the biggest gap holding back employees from achieving these goals in 2016. 59% of all employees looking to seek a qualification do it to find a new job. Sales and clerical occupations again headline this stat with 31% looking to make the switch in 2016.
