Bike lanes are an absolutely marvelous invention. They have been saving the lives of countless cyclists wherever they are installed. But a lot of cities in the world today are actually against the installation of bike lanes though, which is very sad. One of the main reasons is that it will cost too much, when in fact a mile of bike lane costs less than a quarter of the price of a mile of tarmac road for vehicles.
However, a lot of cities have also come around and started seeing sense, with Copenhagen being a prime example of this. Bike lanes are truly a wonderful creation, and these 30 are the best among them. Whether it is in Europe or elsewhere on the planet, these thirty lanes are the ones that other cities need to get in line with and use as role models for their support of cyclists!
