Show business is obsessed with awards. Although the winner is not necessarily the best, and often the person who's team or company puts the most money behind them, winning a major award can make or break someone's career. The four awards thought of as the end all be all in their respective industries are the Emmy for TV, The Grammy for music, The Oscar for Film and The Tony award for Broadway theatre. The term used for an individual who has won all four is The EGOT.

Over the years there have been only 12 people who can lay claim to the distinction. Some are known more as actors like Rita Moreno, others are though of as producers or musicians. While only 12 can say they are EGOT winners, there are 70 people who have 3 out of the 4 awards, 43 of them are still alive. The infographic below shows not just the winners but also some interesting patterns about those who are potentially next up.
