Unless you've been hiding under a rock for the past few years, you'll undoubtedly be aware that numerous car manufacturers are in the process of developing driverless cars; those which, as opposed to being driven by humans, will drive humans! We've known that Google have been testing their driverless vehicle in California for some time now, however in recent weeks we've seen tech giant Apple jump on the bandwagon and announce their entrance to the automotive market.

In reality, we could be seeing driverless cars become commercially available in three years with an almost definite rollout within five. We have seen technology and cars well and truly merge together and, despite the high costs initially, it's as soon as 2050 when it's expected that the number of driverless cars will overtake driven ones.
