The cost of living in America continues to increase. Recent reports seem to indicate that the American GDP is increasing as well – but the amount that the average American earns is not. Rising costs and flat-lining incomes mean only one thing: it's becoming harder to afford to live. This infographic is a study of 129 cities across every state in America, comparing the median income to the cost of living. All numbers are compared to the national average, so you can see which cities are more or less expensive to live in for a variety of factors: groceries, utilities, transportation, housing, and more.
