After surveying over 1,000 city break customers we discovered that most serviced apartment accommodation bookers are women (61%), and the majority of travellers choosing serviced apartments as an alternative to hotels are families, couples and solo travellers. Solo travellers were seen to travel more often than families and couples, taking 6+ trips as year. Our survey went on to reveal the number one travel item for both men and women was an mobile phone, the most popular mode of transport for getting around cities is on foot, and the most popular activities to do on a city break are sight-see, shop and eat local cuisine.
