The diameter of wrist watches varies a lot more than most people think. Some of today's watches are as small as watches where 50-60 years ago and others of today's watches have grown a lot, so they are up to 2,5 times bigger than most vintage watches. There is no hard and fast rules about what kind of watch you should choose, so what you should care about is the size of your arm and what kind of watches that you prefer. If you prefer big watches, you should go for big watches. If you prefer small watches, you should go for small watches. It's all about your personal taste.

But no matter your personal taste, you should still take care that the watch you choose fits your style and the way you dress. Some watches are designed to be worn with specific clothes, so you might want to remember the rule about changing your watch every time you change shoes.
