A green roof is also known as living roof. Green roof is a roof of a building that is either partly or completely wrapped with growing medium and plants. Green roofs are used for various purposes for a building like absorbing sunlight, reducing rain runoff, insulation and so on. There are two types of green roofs intensive roofs and extensive roofs. Green roof not just increases the life of roof but also reduces the air pollution, outside noise, absorbs sun-rays and protect roof from UV rays.
