AMC's television series Breaking Bad was more than just a hit - it had one of television's largest viewing audiences, 5 seasons fraught with tension and excitement, and took home sixteen Primetime Emmy Awards. Its success is, arguably, based in its colorful and compelling cast of characters. Among them is criminal lawyer Saul Goodman, whose ironic title describes him perfectly as part criminal, part lawyer. Supremely effective at keeping Walter and Jesse out of jail and among the living, the interesting thing about Saul is that he tends to cause about as much damage to his clients' lives as he does enrichment. The jingle in his commercials say "Better Call Saul," but for Walter, Jesse, and his other clients the warning "Never Call Saul," might be more appropriate.
