Beyoncé was the first female to headline at Glastonbury back in 2011. The talented songstress who is proactive feminist had a hit single the same year with ‘Girls who run the world’ from her RnB album entitled 4. As much as the ladies want to believe the lyrics ‘Girls who run the world’, the stark reality is that girls cannot even run major music shows let alone the world! This infographic illustrates the true extent of the gender gap between male and female bands featured at top festivals in the UK.
