Use Your Feet and Run for a Cause. Apparently, using your feet to help raise money for a good cause is very fulfilling these days. In 2012 alone, $1.68 billion was raised for various charities though races. And, in 2013, 11 million people gave their time and energy to helping charity causes. Today, about 35,000 races take place nationwide in order to raise money for causes that need your help.
More and more Americans take up running each year for health and fitness purposes. Now, just think about that. With so many people running everyday anyway, why not put those feet to work for important causes? You can use them to help a charity you’ve always wanted to donate to or has helped you or someone you love. Your feet also give you a way to give back to your own community. NordicTrack shares over a dozen causes worth running for in the infographic entitled “Americans Love Running for a Cause.”
