Parcel2Go have just released the details of their 2014 online trading survey, detailing the online trading behavior of 461 individuals. It specifies outcomes such as online trading channels that they use, their trading based income, tax registration, items sold, as well as what proportion of the traders have been impacted by online fraud.
Results include – eBay reported as the most popular trading channel with a formidable 96.7% of traders reporting that they had previously used eBay to sell online compared to just 20.8% for Amazon, their closest rival. The most commonly reported income range for part time traders was £0-500 per year, with £1001 -5000 for full time traders. But at least 10% of full time traders reported income over £30,000. The most commonly traded product categories for the highest earning traders were “toy’s and games” and “Home and garden”. Overall the most popular trading category was “clothing and Jewelry”
