For ages, the only way to store important information was to write it down and put it somewhere safe or keep it locked away in the vast and mysterious landscape of the brain. The, the Gilded Age of the late 19th century brought new fervor to invent contraptions to solve everyday problems. Soon enough the Information Age began in the mid-20th century, eventually bringing us computers, the Internet, and advanced information storage in the cloud.
