Does Size Matter?
Technology is growing and shrinking all at once! Storage devices have shrunk down from large, static hard drives to floppy disks and now to micro SD cards and USB drives that can hold millions of megabytes worth of data.

Unlike storage, phones have grown smaller and then larger again. Originally large, clumsy and barely portable, phones began to shrink in size. Since the advent of the Smartphone, phones have been getting bigger again – but not as heavy! As you can see in the infographic below by Technology Services Group, a 1994 Motorola phone weighed the same as 9 iPhones!

TV’s just keep getting bigger even as time goes on. In the 60’s, the average TV size was 17” and in 2015 that figure is set to be 60” – led by advancements in HD and 4K viewing. As we press forward into an increasingly technologically dependent future, the size of tech will grow and shrink to suit a range of purposes.
