Social media has become a major platform for discussion about social injustice across the globe. #HandsUpDontShoot, #iguala, #ICantBreathe, #YesAllWomen, #BringBackOurGirls and #ArabSpring are some of the high-profile hashtags that have come out of the dialogue. They can be read as poignant requests: imperatives with few words and many implications. All of these are reminders we cannot stop talking about race, religion and humanity.
